(More customer reviews)This guide is a little dated now, October 2003, but it contains
restaurant reviews and insights difficult to find in other guides. My wife and I spend two weeks in Vienna and ate at many
of the restaurants included in the book. Restaurants like Pfudl
and Plachutta are not in other guides and are not to be missed.
Especially helpful were reviews of where the locals eat like Zanoni & Zanoni and the Duran sandwich chain. The maps ended up being some of the best street maps we had. My only caution is that the author does not rate the restaurants and you proceed at your own risk. Also, some of the listed restaurants are no longer in business and one should call ahead. All in all an excellent way to tour Vienna and if you walk as much as we did you will not gain weight!
