(More customer reviews)First, I have to admit I'm a little biased because I recently got to tour Schussler Creative, Inc. showroom or The Laboratory. Not only was that impressive but the overall experience and team at the firm are a great group of people.
Now the book. As an entrepreneur and a person who works with tons of self employed people this book is impossible not to recommend. It does what books in this genre should do. It entertains and gives you insights into what makes a person successful when they have vision, passion, and a dream.
More importantly it goes beyond that. Not only does the author share the ups and downs, little insights here and there but also gives a heavy dose of real world advice. I judge a great book by how many folded over pages or bookmarks are still in it when I'm done--this one has a ton. While not always earth shattering insights they sometimes play as subtle reminders that have yourself saying...
That is right, I have to focus on that a little more.
It is a great book and one thing that stands out for me is if you go to the back of the book to the section titled "No One Creates in a Vacuum". There are roughly 8 pages of thank you's that cover partners, people you may know and important people we rarely thank from the UPS deliver person and to the mail delivery folks.

As a burgeoning businessman in the 1980s, Steven Schussler stopped at nothing to make his dream of a tropical-themed restaurant come true, even turning his home into a rainforest-complete with indoor waterfall, life-size replica of an elephant and 40 tropical birds-in order to have a prototype to show potential investors. Drawing from his own life and business triumphs, Schussler offers would-be entrepreneurs a new way of utilizing creativity to achieve their dreams.Schussler distills his principles for entrepreneurs on a budget, and also reveals the ways in which his lessons-from self-branding to developing strategic partnerships to giving recognition where recognition is due-can work in larger corporations. Just like his famous themed restaurants, Schussler's insights provide entertainment, education, and ample food for thought for all business people aspiring to their next level of success.
