(More customer reviews)This was an absorbing read and I hope to read more from this talented author and her characters--particularly Sadie Walela, the very appealing Cherokee heroine. While the book is a great read as a mystery, it rises above that genre in its rich characterizations and cultural overtones. It goes beyond being "just another a mystery" and provides wonderful insights into modern-day Cherokee life. I loved that it explored human relationships in a such an insightful way and I give it an enthusiastic five stars!
